KINICO en praksis i spenningsfeltet mellom
arkitektur - installasjonskunst - scenografi


Vi har som mål at skape rom som utfordrer mennesker til å leve og være mer leken i forhold til det som omgir dem. Omsorgsfulle rom som danner rammer for liv og en kontakt mellom natur og kultur – ute og inne. Omsorgen finnes i møtet med de menneskene som skal leve i den arkitekturen vi skaper, hvor vi lytter til og tar vare på deres ønsker og erfaringer. Dette blir et styrende parameter gjennom hele prosessen, sammen med forståelsen for plassen og det stedsspesifikke i naturen, historien og kulturen.

Vi har som mål å skape en ærlig og solid arkitektur, som tar inn konstruksjonen, prosjektets økonomiske rammer og selve byggeprosessen, som essensielle deler av den kunstneriske prosessen og det arkitektoniske uttrykket. Materialene og den konstruktive logikken tildekkes ikke med kosmetiske løsninger, men viser heller hvordan arkitekturen er bygget opp. Vår arkitektur består så mye som mulig av ekte materialer, gjerne fra nærområdene. Naturlige materialer som kroppen kan relatere seg til og forstå. Dette mener vi skaper bærekraft og kvalitet for byggere, boere, brukere og omgivelse.

KINICO ble grunnlagt av Kine Fagerheim og Nicolai Larasse i 2019 etter å ha samarbeidet om flere prosjekter i Skandinavia. Begge har en Master i Arkitektur, Cand. Arch. fra Det Kongelige Danske Kunstakademi i København. Kine har i tillegg en Bachelor i Kunsthistorie fra Universitet i Oslo.

Our goal is to create spaces that challenge people to live and be more playful in relation to what surrounds them. We carefully craft spaces that provide a framework for life and a connection between nature and culture, between outside and inside. With care and attentiveness in the meeting with the people who will live in our architecture, we listen to and take note of their wishes and experiences. The care and attentiveness becomes a guiding parameter throughout our process, together with the understanding of place and site-specific nature, history and culture.

We aim to create an honest and solid architecture, which incorporates the construction, the project's financial framework and the building process itself as essential parts of the artistic practice and architectural expression. The materials and the constructive logic are not covered by cosmetic solutions, but rather show how the architecture is assembled. Our architecture consists predominantly of real materials, locally sourced. Natural materials that the body can relate to and understand. We believe that this will generate sustainability and quality for builders, residents, users and the environment.


KINICO was founded by Kine Fagerheim and Nicolai Larasse in 2019 after collaborating on several projects in Scandinavia. Both hold a Master of Architecture, Cand. Arch. from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, while Kine also has a Bachelor in Art History from the University of Oslo.
